They divorced when I was 3..she, umm..."got the picture"

He has been a perpetual dissapointment in my life. Recently I helped him sell his house for a massive profit (90K) in the hopes that he could better his life and do something with himself.

We had agreed to split it 50-50.

About a week after we had agreed to put it in a joint account, he left and no one saw him him months....oh, and he took $60,000 with him which spent.

The family was dismayed, but we were willing to support him in the hopes that he would do some good for himself with the $30,000 that was left.

There was no $30,000, as I found out TODAY, of all the days to find out.


I was doing it (being a upportive son even though is the epitome of irressponsibility) because I cared for him.


And, still, he lied to my face, telling me that we would go put the $30K in a joint account soon.



Somehow, I feel our relationship has reached an endpoint. If he cannot telll the truth to his somewhat capable 21 year son who he dissapointed for as long as time itself, I don;t think we have anything else to talk about :|


In the otherhand, his brother [my uncle] is an awesome person (I'll most about him later)

You notice any serious issues?

Do not support him, he will have to do something.


EDIT - How does one just dissappear with money and come back with nothing?
