That's going to suck :frown:

They seem to enjoy it. Hehe.

It's a wash. I go to bed at 10~11 and out at 5ish, regardless of the day of the week.
You can get a lot done in the morning:)

Well that isn't to say that it holds true for all people, and I reckon anyone can adjust to any schedule. It just seems to be what's natural for most people in those age groups.

things are different these days. When I grew up a few decades ago, sure, we stayed up till 2~4 in the am sometimes. Thing was, it was unheard of to be in bed at noon. I guess we deprived ourselves of sleep more back then.
My nephew was the first "Up till dawn, sleep till 2 PM" kid I observed, but he was not typical. He'd miss school over it.

I sleep 2 or 3 - 8 just about every day, except on weekends when I sleep till 10, 11, or even 12.

Your sleeping habits probably match those of 90% of college kids.

I think my parents stopped caring around my senior year of high school what time I went to bed. If I stayed up too late it was doing homework anyway.

Na, most kids stay up that late.

For the past two years I have been going to bed at 2AM and waking up at 11-12. lately I have been staying up till 4AM but I'm getting sick of missing half of the day sleeping, so now I'm trying to go to bead at 12-1AM now.

Sleeping pills are your friends!

The problem with that for me is that my parents would be awake in the morning to bother me . Also, most of my friends are awake late at night and not in the morning.

It doesnt work that way, asian kids or most kids can't use people who do things worse as an example, the parents will just ignore it. However, the asian parents can and will use people who do things better as an example. It usually goes like this: [Insert some asshole kid I hate] gets better grades, doesn't go out at night, doesn't play video games, does his chores, is a harder worker, and/or anything else he does better. Of course, they ONLY mention the good things and never the bad things the other kids do.

I usually live with my mom, she's is obviously more lenient since I'm 18 and she knows that it's pretty normal for people my age. I'm moving into the dorms in a few weeks though.

hah, that's pretty normal for a good amount of my friends (when they were in college and didn't have real jobs.. they now suffer. heh). I, however, am a morning person. not entirely by choice, I need a pitch black room to stay asleep. the small amount of morning light disrupts me.. and I toss and turn, and just wake up. and even if i sleep late, i rarely, if ever, get more than 7hrs of solid sleep

Getting 10-12 hours of sleep is oftentimes a good thing, especially for young adults. On most summer days like this, I wake up around 3 pm. Granted, it's kind of a pain that my "morning" sometimes approaches evening. I'm a regular customer at the local diner that serves breakfast 24/7.

On weekdays, I usually sleep from 10:30pm (or around there) to 5:30am because of work.

On weekends, it varies. Could be normal times or could be from 3am-8am. I have noticed though, that it's rather difficult for me to stay in bed past 7:30am (I want to stay asleep, but my body is like "wtf, gtfo bed you lazy bitch," and well, then I get up).

Even when I goto bed at like 5am, I'm awake by 8am. It actually sucks, cause then I end up passing out at random times during the day.

EDIT: On topic, my brother has a really messed up sleeping schedule. He doesn't fall asleep until around 4 or 5am, and then he doesn't wake up until after noon. He's only like that during the summer though, during school he has more of a normal schedule.

He's a dumbass too. He ran out of gas at a busy intersection. He knew he was low on gas and the gas station was only a block away, he probably even drove by it on the way to that intersection.

What some people don't get is that some of us are totally reversed from the "normal" sleep pattern. I feel my best, and always have felt my best, going back to the beginning, by sleeping from 5AM to about noon. I drove my mother crazy when at a few months age, I stopped going to sleep when they put me to bed and would stay up and cry, and the later, call for her all night. She tried keeping me up later and later, but it didn't do any good. She couldn't sleep while I was awake, so she was totally sleep deprived until I was about 2 and my dad convinced her that I would call her when I needed something. My mother turned that on him, and told me to call HIM. And I did, but not all that much.

This altered sleep pattern has afftected me my entire life. School, at least until college, was a nightmare. I was sick all the time, and felt bad due to forcing myself to try to sleep at night. I found out I could sleep at school much easier than I could at Midnight, if the teacher let me, and some did. One asked me what I did all night, and I told her, "I sit and listen to the radio talk shows with an earphone in a pitch black room and fall asleep around 4 or 5 am, then I had to get up at 745 for school", that's why I was a mess.

After high school was finally over, I stayed up all night and went to bed at 5, and felt better than I had my entire life! I went to school at night and it was great. No fighting sleep like I always had to do before and I FELT GOOD, and didn't get sick all the time.

Later on, I tried several times to work day shift, with bad results, so at the age of 25 or so, I decided that I would never work a "day" job again. A few years ago, my boss took a vacation and I had to work 16 days straight from 8AM till 430PM. I was such a mess at the end, I barely could drive home the last few days of it, I was so messed up, sleep wise. That's it, other than an emergency situation, no more day shifts for me. It's death.

My sister is a 12 hour person, she goes to bed at about 8 or so, and gets up 11 to 12 hours later. If she doesn't get all that sleep, she's as bad as I am working days.
