my dad is old and needs another webcam

Ok he likes to have his web cams out the window to see whats going on.Watch for postman and all that stuff.
He has an old intel easy pc 110 and an orange micro usb cam.
the intel puts it to shame. Low light the easy looks like daytime and the orange is black but you can see a white spec ...oh thats a street light.

So he wants 2 new better greater cameras. What should I get him?

ps is there something I can put looking at the back yard and let him see it on his computer in the front of the house?
I don't mind running a cat 5 to that location and getting a netcam but not sure how to get power to it.


Man he is going to cost me a fortune LOL

don't think he records anything just watches whats going on

I've heard many here say that Eye Toy cameras were great cameras for the money, when they got discounted. I never tried them, but there were lots of posts about them in the Hot Deals section last year.

You can get a security cam system from geeks.com - hooks a number of cams to an add-on card in your PC. The cams you can buy for the system can see in the dark pretty well as they use an IR illuminator. No webcam I know of does that. Of course you can get those other places and I strongly suggest you do shop around and do a reputation check on any system you choose.
