just angle iron and a piece of sheet metal? thats not meant as a put down by any meas it is actually a genuine question. I have been working on something similar to that for a while now, mine is 14x14x14 made out of plexi with the angle iron just holding hte plexi together. I was intending on placing a vericle barrier that ran from front to back to mount the motherboard on one side and the drive cages on the other. I would love as much input as possible, especially from someone who is already making these.

1/2 x 1/2 x 1/8 angle iron is being used

sheetmetal is pop rivited to the inside of the frame work

a old case donated its slide out motherboard tray which will work out well

i will be makeing custom cages that will bolt in through the front with case thumb screws

this is the second case i have built , first one was similar to your dimensions but i found its to tight to the powersupply so am makeing this one

i decided to move the powersupply over to the side with the drives for both spacing and thermal reasons. I am still not sure if i will mount it at the top or bottom though.
