She showed me her new skates! The pink jets! I'm thinking of asking Maegin to start going to meets-something raw about seeing them crush each other. I didn't even know that rollerderby was alive-all I remember is the red and black!

Damn, that's cool. I thought everyone had gone to blades these days. I hate blades.

I used to keep up on all that stuff when I was Floor Manager at a roller rink, sadly the place is now an ice rink. 🙁
 
Haven't seen roller derby on television since it was popular during the 70s and early 80s. Aww... Skinny Minnie Miller. 😎
 
Rollerderby is like the new Dodgeball.
The girls that are on those shows with rollerderby scare me. 🙁
 
I used to be a fan of Roller Jam on TNT about 8 years ago. It was filmed at Universal Studios and aired on Fridays--we used to go to the tapings a lot. Unfortunately, I think they decided to get too hokey with under stories--similar to professional wrestling. This skater is really this other skater's long lost brother...etc. I think that killed the show.

There were several times that my wife, daughter and I could be seen during opening credits.
