My cousin is missing in Thailand

Boy, this REALLY sucks. My wonderful 23-year-old cousin Aisha was on vacation in or near Phuket, Thailand when the tsunami hit. Nobody has heard anything from her since, and it's been 3 days. We are all frantically pinging the State Department and checking the casualty lists from Thailand to no avail. Things are really getting desperate.

Aisha's mother (my aunt) has already had a terrible December - her father had a heart attack, which seems to have revealed some underlying senile dementia/Alzheimer's. The possibility of her daughter being washed out to sea, never to be seen again, is more than she can take, and it will just break her heart.

I'm not much of a religious person, but I am praying for Aisha, and please do the same if you're willing.

Tony

UPDATE: We got word this morning that she has somehow fetched up in eastern Thailand, and she's fine. No details yet on what exactly happened, but thank God she's OK. I'll pray for the 80K+ who weren't as lucky . . .

Prayer for her and your family. Things are very hetic all over there and hopfully she's ok and just not able to contact anyone yet.

She may have lost connection because of what has happened, give it some time 🙁

what i was thinking, communications probably wiped out, she could be just fine, just wait a little bit longer 🙁

I really hope she's just too busy helping other people and/or not near a phone. Good luck to her and you'r family I hope shes safe. :-/
