My project is well underway..I will have updates really soon....forced air and water cooling together...preliminary tests appear successful :)

Depending on interest I might do a followup...but...these temps might interest you

Retail cooling 2200XP 1.8ghz amd ran at 63.5+ cel idle temp
with Volcano 9 1.8ghz ...47.5 cel idle temp
My cooling method 32.5 cel idle temp <----------with Cpu overclocked to 2ghz@1.8volts Still forced air 166@12 Motherboard running at 29 cel

This was done on an Asus a7v333 with a Tin case.

Notice the diff in temps...almost half the original...and over 200mhz overclock with a voltage raise.

I also ran the test with the cpu @ 1.8ghz with the voltage at 1.65 <---stock speed...cpu temp dropped down to 30.5 cel

For those of you that dont know...If you can get the 2200 to 2ghz.....its a very noticable difference. Scisoft reports it as a 2500 not a 2400 :)

I'm having a little trouble making sense of your temps... you said...

Which is it? 63.5 or 47.5???

With the original heatsink and fan it was 63.5 cel
With the Volcano 9 it was 47.5 cel

Need to set up a 24 inch box fan with a funnel to go down to the size of your heat sink... THAT would be forced air, lol
