Since some of you really seem to be having a hard time understanding, I guess I will spell it out more clearly.
I'm not backpedaling. My statements hold true for some people and I generalized when I directed it at liberals in general. Not all, in fact, not even the majority of liberals actually feel this way. It is the far-left, extremist liberals that my comments were directed towards.

Some liberals here are very anti-american. Some, not all. Some liberals here express in their posts a clear defense of people like OBL. Some liberals here are so anti-Bush that they are happy when american soldiers die in Iraq. Some, not all. Some liberals here are so anti-Bush that they would celebrate if Saddam was able to defeat us and regain power. Some liberals are so anti-Bush that they hope and pray that the economy will suck just so they can blame it on Bush and get a democrat elected. Some liberals think 9/11 is our fault and that we deserved it. Some liberals believe that OBL is justified in attacking us.
There seems to be a far larger percentage of these types of extreme anti-american people on this forum than in the general population.
These are the people my "na-na-na-na-na-na" was directed at. These are the people that I am sure are very disappointed today that Saddam was caught. These are the people that I was talking to.

We finally captured the leader that we deposed.
The goal of this entire military operation was to remove Saddam from power and to remove the possibility of him ever returning to power. As long as he was free, there was always the fear that he could somehow regain power. That fear is now gone.
I'm not saying our work there is done. Obviously, there is still a lot of hard work to do and it is not over. But this is a major step.

But how could you not perceive this as being damaging to the democrats?
The democratic candidates have based their entire campaigns on bashing Bush.
This gives them one less thing they can use to bash him.
It is obvious to everyone with a brain that a major victory like this for Bush will obviously make it harder for the democrats to bash him.

It is quite obvious to anyone who has followed the democrat contender's campaigns - that their main tactics are Bush bashing. Not a one of them(except Edwards sometimes) lets an opportunity to bash Bush slip by. what exactly have they based their campaign on if its not bashing Bush? i dony see any "progressive" ideas [or any other type of idea for that matter] coming from any of the 9. all i hear is whining about how the war is going wrong, or how it was wrong in the first place. all i hear is that Bush is an idiot and how his daddy bought his grades in college.all i hear about is how Bush stole the election in 2000. i hear nothing constructive, no ideas that could possibly make the US a better nation [unless by better you mean go grovel at the feet of the UN].

when the current batch of dems get some good solid ideas up on the table, then I wont laugh at them as hard any more, ill just criticize them because it will back to the same old cut the military budget so we can expand welfare, healthcare, and a craptastic education system.

There has been much arguing in here, so much in fact the incumbent supporters have been clearly shown to be shaken so early out in front of next year's elections. They needed today's Military victory.

I think that by attacking Bush at every turn, the Democratic party leadership has put themselves in the unwelcome position to benifit when things go bad for America, and that it is bad for them when things go well for America, since Bush is in effect steering the ship. Even though course corrections sometimes take years to occur. After all, Clinton had a dead set reckoning for that iceberg for 8 years while he was buried in the sheets! Okay, I apologize for that, it was pretty cheap, but I couldn't resist.

Although I agree with most of what Bush had done internationally, disagreement is good, it's what our country is based on. I think he's spending like a cowboy domestically and its going to hurt us in the long run.

The problem I have is when disagreement over politics turns into personal hatred.

That being said, kudos to Dean today for saying the President should be commended for this capture, along with the military. Dean's giving the fight a rest for a day. Good for him.

Somebody has to do some "Bashing", since as abundantly pointed out in here that there is no "Liberal" Radio Talk show (Liberal is not the correct word just as Conservative is not the correct wording anymore either), there is only the Republican NeoCon Zombie shows lead by Rush and Hannity doing the front line brainwashing for the administration.

It's all about supply and demand.
There have been several attempts at liberal radio shows.
They have failed miserably.
