k, that helps, because that sounds like something your Fortron 300W unit can handle (provided it's healthy). I can't tell from your photo what motherboard you have, aside from that it is probably an Intel-brand board with a model name that includes "D845PE___", maybe a D845PEBT2.

That's some help, because the Intel boards are going to all use the same pinout on their front-panel connector. http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/mechBgon/INTEL_FRONT_PANEL_CONNECTOR.gif That should help you get your case wiring going. If the LEDs don't light up when they ought to, then just flip the plug 180° and plug it back onto the same pins.

One other thing I would like you to check: look at the ATX12V cable and confirm that you got it plugged into the mobo in the right orientation (the latch on the plug should line up with the catch on the receptacle).

I'll just let him talk to you 😉

"the panel is completely integrated into the right position as in theres is one connector also the 12v connect is in properly im asuming it would be the psu because with other exprience with pc chips mobo the fans had moved when the mobo was burned but in this case they aren't or possibly one of the insanely easy to move wobbly jumpers may have fallen out the move with the slightest touch"

Seems a bit strange that removing the sound card would make the PSU fail, but if you have another PSU you can test with, that could help narrow the possiblilties.

Well I cant even get the video card to come out, it's stuck in pretty good.

All I have is the useless modem thing, sound card, and video card in.

Take out all your cards. The next step would be to make sure all your power and reset button connectors are plugged in properly, and all your mb jumpers are set in the correct place. This would require a mb manual.

I'm assuming you still can't power up.

Like I always say, "it's nothing money can't fix" 😉 If the PSU tests bad, go out and buy a new quality-brand power supply, maybe an Antec SL350 if you don't anticipate throwing a high-end video card into there in its lifespan. If you're going to heave a 6800GT at it someday, go on up to 400W or 450W but make it a quality unit, not a cheapie.

No, I still cant get it to power on at all, theres been no progress.

And for the test I'm not even positive if it was all done right, I wasn't the one to do it. But anyway, how much would a new PSU cost? 🙁 (We're REALLY short on cash right now.)

EDIT: I dont think disconnecting the devices is going to help if the powers shot, not to mention how stuck in the video card is, I wouldn't want to break anything else. >.<

Yeah, that ought to do the trick, and for a much better price too 🙂 You could still throw in an upgrade such as perhaps an ATI 9800 Pro down the line, it's just the fire-breathing top-end cards that I'd be thinking twice about.

I'd go with something better if I could afford it. >.<

Well, I really hope that'll fix the problem. Thanks for all your help. ^^

Oh, and also, I found this little white thingy in there that I didn't see before 😵 I would take a picture of it, but I JUST broke my digital camera a few minutes ago (Wow, what a great day!!) But I found it sitting loosely inside the computer; it's a small piece of plastic folded in half and it's about 4" long.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found where it goes. It's just some border dealy around some box. <.<
