My computer turns off after 30 mins

I have a friend who just built a computer. He said the computer will turn itself off after about 30 mins if he is not using it. What could this be? Here are some specs:
duron 900mhz
IWILL KK266 motherboard
Windows ME

Maybe its not turning off but going into hibernation or sleep. Have you friend check the settings under properties/screensaver/settings.

also check the power managemant & power saving entries in bios & control panel respectively!
