run mem test
check psu reading with a digital multimeter
try other games to see if it's just bf2

btw: If your want a widescreen fix in bf2 put the bolded in your target "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1+szx 1680 +szy 1050

while it's not true widescreen it's better than playing 1280x1024 with black bars :)

company of heroes is pretty hard on a machine, plus it supports ws :)

I've actually heard this program is bad for your system at least on XtremeSystems there have been reports of problems with TAT. I highly recommend using CoreTemp it gets the temperature from inside the chip and is specially built to read the new Intel Core 2 Duo temps

That would compare more to call of duty 1-3, or Day of Defeat 1.6-Source
My friend told me about this new game called ARMA supposed to be better than BF2 supports widescreen and is based off real-world engines that they use in the Army and stuff check out the site unfortunately it's not out in the US yet..... I'll be waiting for this I actually only have the BF2 Demo :D EA is so stupid about there widescreen support they believe that widescreen is "cheating" yes, they're that stupid and now they are trying to put spyware into there games.

If snipers can use claymores that kill me from 30 meters away, I should be able to use all of my widescreen monitor, damnit! :p

it is just their way of not having to code new stuff. seems like they have a limited pool of $$$ from which to make things better while the rest goes into their upper managements pockets  if widescreen is cheating why can i change the view distance? if somebody else can only use a view distance of 1/4 what i use i guess i am cheating in ea's eyes.

i wouldn't even waste my time asking them. hopefully with all these new games coming out within the next year maybe, just maybe somebody will take away their place. they are becoming a sad bunch and i hope they start to feel it in their wallets.
