My computer is working in slow motion

I deleted a few programs and now Win ME is running in extreme slow motion. About one tenth normal speed and the HD is being accessed almost constantly,like a problem accessing the memory or swap file.

I tried System Restore and reloaded the OS without success.

Virtual memory setting still on auto.

Any help appreciated.

some of your cards probably don't like sharing their irq that well

reconfigure your irq distribution with irq steering
