Ive bee having countless problems for the past year.
I've had many problems with artifacts
It got worse and worse
about a months ago i got a nv4_dsp error and the screen flickers and i cant do anything because it lags, so i format. It works good till i install the drivers, same problem, i uninstalled and used driver cleaner. I tried like 7 different drivers same problem. I shut it off and when i got a chance to come back to it i turn it on and their where artifacts in my bios. Their where odd things in my bios like crosses in the bios lines. So i took a few pictures. A few days ago i was looking back at them and saw things where misspelled. like Pr)mary, Sp%ech, Forlatting??
Is it my mobo or my GPU? Check the link of pictures i uploaded on another site on the bottom of the page http://www.opentechsupport.net...ight=driver#post310217

here are some pics

Dust off the video card fan? Otherwise it looks like your video card is dying a natural death.

My friend had the exact same thing happen on his 7900 GT OC. The temps were not even all that high, and I took the card out to dust it, but hardly had anything on it. Like lopri says, card is dying, try to RMA.

I had pretty much the same issue not too long ago with my BFG 6800 GT OC that is over 2 years old. I did an RMA on it (gotta love that lifetime warranty) and they sent me a 7600 GT in a week or so. It seems like a natural death hehe.

if you are still under warranty RMA.
Try to dust it off.
If it is factory oced, try lowering the clock speed to stock using riva tuner...

But most likely it is just about to kick the bucket and you will have to buy a replacement.

QFT, I have seen this before and the card always dies shortly after.

This is why so many techies/gamers buy eVGA/XFX/BFG -- easy RMA so take advantage of it.
