my computer is clunking out...

Well here's what happened. Yesterday I went to subway and when I came back my monitor was off, my mouse turned off, and the light on my hub for my computer was out. Now when I turn it back on I can usually last about 30 minutes until the same thing happens again. Sometimes it doesn't even turn on though. The only thing that I noticed is that my core0 voltage is way low. I have a 900mhz t-bird on a msi k7t pro-2a and the voltage is only 1.55 if I have the voltage set as default in the bios or 1.7 to 1.65 if I set it to 1.85 in the bios. Could this be the problem? I have an antec 300watt powersupply so that should be good. I re-greased and re-sat my heatsink also. Thank You

It made it last longer. For craps and giggles I set it to 1.5 and it wouldn't boot at all. If I set it at default when it gets 1.6 it will sometimes boot and last a minute. If I set it at 1.85 and it realy gets 1.7 it will last about a half an hour and nearly always boot. The voltage seems to gradually get lower...

Your bios should have a "CPU Voltage Auto" selection. Enable it. Your default voltage is 1.75 volts for your TBird. Being that you changed powersups, I highly doubt that is the problem. How were/are your CPU temps? Is your HSF seated correctly? How much thermal grease are you using? There should be just a paper-thin coating on the slug only, not the whole chip. Just trying to help.

When I pick auto it only gives 1.55 volts, eek. Yeah I've double checked the cpu sitting, and regreased her, and I know it's on right. It was working fine for about 6 months until this. I think my mobo is the problem.

The cpu temp. is normal.
