I booted up my computer this morning and up pops this message , "Gameport joystick found". :Q I never installed any new devices and don't even have a Gameport joystick . So how does my computer come up with such a message? Could my computer be hacked ?

99% of computers w/ a sound card have a gameport... so you probably have one... now as to why it all of a sudden recognized it, your guess is as good as mine... the only thing i can think of is that it was removed from the device manager then it found it the next time you booted...
i don't believe you were hacked...
did you (or someone else) mess w/ any drivers the previous time you had the computer on?

Your sound card has a joystick port that is active. If there is a jumper in disable it, fine - otherwise you can disable it in Windows.

You're right. Just a fluke. Almost all sound cards and built in sound chips have support for a gameport. SocrPlyr knows the deal.
