I have a computer that has run already for 1 year: Core2quad E6600 on Asus Striker Extreme motherboard, 4 Gb of memory and 4 internal Hds.
Suddenly a squeek sound come over during booting and now what I get it's only the BIOS logo and it is impossible to boot or to get inside the BIOS for configuration.
Please helpo me to troubleshoot my computer, thanks.

okay, ignore the idiot, and as for the sound, I'd shut down the pc and open the case and try powering it up and checking your fans on the PSU,CPU, Northbridge and/or Southbridge, and Video Card. before you power it up disconnect the HDD(S) and Optical Drive(s), from power.

The squeaking sound concerns me.
Does that squeaking sound mechanical (Like a case fan rubbing or hard drive spinning up) or like electrical (like a ... i can't think of any example atm)?

I would recommend inspecting the rig and make sure their no bulging or leaking capacitors on the motherboard, make sure all the case fans are working properly, and try booting up with just the minimals (1 stick of RAM, 1 Hard drive, etc.)

At this point without having read more details, it could be a few things , case fan, hard drive, motherboard, or power supply barring that I'm not forgetting anything.

Also can you list your complete system spec's with all Manufacturs and Model numbers? Instead of just processor, motherboard, memory amount and hard drive. Also an E6600 s not a Quad Core. It's just a Core 2 Duo.

Sounds mechanical? Hmm...
I would crack open the case and make sure nothing if being obstructed and that all case fans and the heatsink fans(this includes northbridge & southbridge fans) are spinning properly. I would also try booting with just 1 hard drive of the sound goes away start adding the rest of the hard drives to the loop until the sound comes back..

that could be the heads grinding along the platters, but, I'd shut down the pc and open the case and try powering it up and checking your fans on the PSU,CPU, Northbridge and/or Southbridge, and Video Card. before you power it up disconnect the HDD(S) and Optical Drive(s), from power. recheck for the sound, if it does not do it, then reconnect the optical drives 1 at a time, if none of them squeak, then reconnect the HDD's 1 at a time, if none squeaks, please let us know.

Start the machine barbones........
Only use 1gb ram, video, take out sound card and extra peripherals. unplug all fans but the CPU one and power on, then keep adding one fan at a time. You just have to play the game of process of elimination.

Edit...... start with just the OS HD and then add others........so on and so on......
