That's not uber, that's a low end monitor setup.

how so?
All I see is a pair of what I assume to be quality monitors connected through a DAC.
I have more than that just for my dj setup.

So how can I improve it?
Well you have Event's to start, which is a great start. Though thoes are high quality studio monitors, designed for close range use. I had a pair of asp6-n, wonderful monitors.

It all depends on what you are trying to do with your setup.

Nice setup! 🙂

I only recognized the Benchmark DAC1...looks like you also have an E-MU soundcard hooked up to the DAC1... I'm thinking about getting a DAC1 myself as well as some decent speakers/studio monitors to complement my semi-uber headphone setup.

Eh the only time I'd spend the dough to hook up monitor speakers to my PC would be if I was doing sound production work. I believe that Trygrve has pretty impressive speakers hooked up to his setup as well although he does do audio video work so he probably needs them. I'll stick with putting the big bad speakers on my home theater system. My desk is crowded enough as is with my two monitors for my PC and the other monitor for my Mac.

j/k, I just upgraded to Labtec 10W's
The tweeters in the new flagship Nautilus speakers aren't encrusted with diamond, they're (more than 99.99%) pure diamond.

Those look a bit big for near-field use. 😉

Doesnt beat mine in sig.

especially with the incredibly piss-poor placement I would say it does, especially with what looks like dipole speakers. Now get those things away from the wall/corner.
