Saturated fats are harmful to those genetically predisposed to heart disease. Many people can eat high fat diets with no harmful effects.

A diet higher in fat than recommended by the nonsense one size fits all BS out now will fill you up faster, and make you feel full longer, meaning you'll eat less.

Fatty foods do NOT make people fat. In fact, the low fat craze directly precedes and correlates with the rise in obesity in the US.

Genetics have very little to do with how I look. I was rapidly turning into a fat ass as I hit my 30s and my metabolism took a nose dive before I started working out.

I look this way because of hard work. I work hard because I choose not to be sick, and dead of type 2 diabetes like my father at age 59. My fitness is driven by health reasons, not vanity. It was never my intention to do this for vanity reasons, and it's not my fault you suck and are jealous.

BTW, I spend no more than 4 days a week in the gym, and no more than 1.5 hours each day. A maximum of 6 hours a week. FAR less than most people spend in front of the TV on any given two days. This includes both weights and cardio. It's a myth that you need to spend a lot of time in the gym.

Wow!! I just don't even know what to say!!!

Aside from the fact that about half of what you said contradicts what you've said in previous posts.............your ego is VERY MUCH tied up in what you're doing. (Ever post a pic of your arm in ATOT?)

And if you're truly convinced that diets high in saturated fat are only threatening to those with a predisposition to heart disease, then dare I suggest you not share your own personal nutritinal opinions with those on this board who might very well fall into that category???

You're 38 years old, yet I swear with some of the stuff that you come off the cuff with, you sound like you're 38 goin' on 18!!

A lot of restaurants are franchises, and as such have owners somewhere. All of the ones locally are owned by a company based in Burlington, VT, and all have signs with phone numbers you can call and complain to that are local. I'd say go back to the second store, look for a sign that says if it's a corporate or franchise store, it'll have the owner's name and a phone number for them, call that person/company and report that manager. They won't last long with an attitude like that, McDonald's (for all their faults) takes customer service complaints very seriously.

Wow, after reading through the rest of this, I agree. This is a perfect example of "If you don't have anything CONSTRUCTIVE to say, then STFU". Absolutely no reason for all of the crapping, OP has a genuine problem, which is not his diet or choice of where to eat.

i dunno about arm, but he did post a picture of his butt

Well, to be on topic............

As I mentioned in the other fast food thread.......

A guy once asked me if I could make a better burger than McD's.

I said, "sure'.

Then he asked if I could make a better business.

Wow! Makes you wonder.

Sure, McD's ain't great food. It'll fill you up, but most of us can make a better burger on our backyard grills.

That said.............if McDonald's is running such a great business.......(and I think they do if by no other means than their balance sheet)............then the OP's scenario should have been a non-issue.

If the phone recording.....(a phone # given on the card itself)......says it's good for it, then I'd think that a McD's manager, *should* in good-faith make good on it. If machines are down, oh well. They should've made good. Even if they were taken on that one, the loss would be small & hindsight could allow them to prevent it in the future.......(assuming OP's telling the truth).

McDonald's is an incredible business machine!

amused do not listen to him, I agree with everything you said...I spend 2 hours, 3 days a week in the gym, no counting running, and have been a powerlifter for about 7-8 years now, and I have always maintained a high in fat diet for obvious reasons...I like to think that I am a tank and due to all my supplementation and concentration on marco AND micronutrients I am in perfect health

Care to point out what I have said here that contradicts my previous posts... with references, of course?

You have 4 years of archived posts to select from. Take your time... you wont find any.

I've posted my arm when asked for an arm pic, or something else. Again, my ego has little to do with my training, and NOTHING to do with why I started it. Your jealousy is so plain for all to see, it's pathetic.

It is up to the individual to know their family history of heart disease. Not me. I am not their keeper. Nor is any food seller.

Of course you don't know what to say... you have nothing of value to say.

I wonder if McDonald's charges the franchise owners a fee when a customer uses the ArchCard, like Visa charges when one uses a credit card.

you bought gift cards to macdonalds..?

I spend waaaay too much money on fast food so I bought a card for McDonalds and Taco Bell. I was just going to load up $20 a month on each and if I run out then too bad. It wouldn't of worked, but as long as I pretend to help my problem then it's alllll good.

For the record, I'm 120lbs and always have been.
I hope for your mom's sake that she had a C-section when you were born.

No, as mentioned in my original post, they were two PARTICIPATING McDonalds'.

I still don't understand why you bought Christmas presents for yourself

I didn't. They were actually given to me by my girlfriend but for the sake of the story I just said I bought them for myself. Didn't want to complicate the story anymore than it already was. I did however, plan to use them to budget my fast food intake like I said before. If I would of known half the thread would of been about how stupid it was to buy yourself something for christmas maybe I would of clarified....
