each department in my company has a 3 digit extension code, outside of the normal direct phone extensions. when you hit the 3 digit number, every phone in that department rings.

if you wanted to get someone in sales, for example, you could dial 111, or 222 if you needed to get someone in tech, etc.

today, we finally expanded to 666 🙁 and it's a department that I call all the time.

One should request the phone number "531-8008" if one could - it'd be good for a laugh, and nobody would ever forget your number.

They might have trouble writing it, and have to play around for a while "hey, call joe" "What's his number" "Dunno, but it's 'boobies' upside down."
