So I just started working for this new law firm in the Boston area last year. Coming from big firm life in D.C., I really didn't know what it would be like to transfer to a smaller boutique firm. Well, I am discovering that it is freakin awesome. Sure, I work as hard as ever, but the perks are amazing! Granted, it helps to be in an office full of sports nuts, but the other perks have been nice as well.

Some perks to date:

1. Free tickets to 2 Patriots home games (not the greatest seats, but hey, free is free)

2. ~10 sets of free tickets to the Bruins games

3. 3 free sets of tickets to Celtics games

4. box seats to the beanpot hockey finals (best hockey game I have seen in a long time)

5. all inclusive 3 day firm retreat at a golf resort in Maryland

6. Random free dinners and golf outings (with or without clients)

and most recently, free Redsox tickets, which are ~20 rows behind home plate!

I love this place!

 
Too bad you can't go to any of those events 'cause you'll be stuck at the firm working like a bitch 120 hours a week. Grats on having an awesome quality of life.

Correct or not, that was the biggest "I'm a jealous, whiny bitch" response I've seen in a while.
 
Those are damn nice, between the little lady and I, our perks are:
6 seats for mariners (yes they suck but they are box seats)
We get about 4 different game tickets to the Seahawks (club level) for two people
4 Supersonics tix (are they gone yet?)
Free tix to random events around seattle
$75 GC to the brooklyn every month
$100 GC to the metropolitan 2x a year
multiple GC to other restraunts since my SO is a manager at a hotel downtown

Not even mentioning my other perks like free catered lunch every friday, paid cell/bb, paid gym, paid transportation pass, and free seafood almost daily.

Makes up for the mediocre pay.

we get free Yankee tickets every week for people who want it. That's on top of box seats to any MSG event (assuming you can take a client/work relationship along). Also get free Broadway tickets occasionally (although i've only been to one and it sucked). Not a big sports fan but they're always good perks to have. Other than that we get the standard perks (free lunch and dinner if you're working in the office the whole time, free car home if you work past 8 or 9 etc. etc.). Sweet deal. I'm mostly just happy about the pay 🙂
