I have a PQI 6 in 1 Travel Flash reader, It worked fine on my old computer. Since I got my Asus A7N8X deluxe motherboard it has not worked properly. I plug in my Compact flash reader it takes 10 minutes for my PC to detect and display the drives, and when I try to open my compact flash card it will make it freeze up and I have to Alt Ctrl Del out. If I have the card reader plugged in when I boot up it makes my boot up real sluggish. I went to PQI's website and there are no Windows XP drivers it says it should automatically detect this flash reader. Anyone please help me.

How are you connecting it? Most reader/writers are USB. If that is the case, try a different USB port.

I tried using all 6 of my USB ports and its a no go. I dont know if its effected because my new setup has USB 2.0 and my old one was USB 1.1 only, It still doesn't make sense because USB 2.0 is backwards compatible.

Yeah - USB 2 is supposed to be backward compatible - but, supposed to be does not always mean what it says. I would try a different reader/writer. Also, some mobos have BIOSes that let you select USB 1, USB2, or both.
