Please help i have An x800 Pro AGP video card, i believe i have the complete stats of the comp listed below....

I have tried reformatting, updating drivers, downgrading drivers, This happens on multiple games. The older the game the less bad it is...

On counterstrike source itll happen occasionally, and it only happen to the weapon models, itll happen maybe once a month.
On Battlefield 2 itll usually happen after 5 or 10 mins, itll start on the weapon models then spread, to the other textures in the game, including the menu!
And on Cod 2 it happens right away, everywhere, which you can tell from the pics...

Please help, i'd buy a new gfx card if i knew that would fix it...

P.S. i have had two different mobos, PSU's and 1.5 n 1 gig of ram it had happened before and after these changes...

Ty much!!!

I bet you OC'd your computer somewhere huh. Looks like artifacting which means something is stressed or going out.

That definitely looks like the video card is overheating or failing. Remove the side panel from your case and point a desk/floor fan at the interior of the case to make sure it is getting good ventilation (not TOO good or you might blow something out that you don't want to 😉) then try to play a game again. If the games look fine, then the problem is your case cooling or the heat sink/fan on the video card. If they still have the same problem, you probably have a failing video card and you should get it replaced if it is still in warranty.

weenus....you need to figure out where hte problem is... ppl here can't magically diagnose it w/o your help. Do what was suggested above, open the side panel of your case and put a fan on it or near a cracked window (assuming its freezin cold where you are, as i am here in illinois)...if things don't look as bad, then its prob your graphics card, but that wouldn't rule out cpu either(what heatsink/fan combo is on your cpu??). you need to figure out whats wrong before planning anything else.... let us know

You just need to blow on the cartridge. Sorry, old 8-bit joke.

Anyway, try a friends video card. This will help detwermine whether it's your Ram, or your video card. I've seen corruption like this from both.

well the reason its probly not happening on some games,(namely AOE3) is that they are OLDER and less graphics intensive

..are you ACTUALLY trying any of the advice the people here are telling you????... this problem isn't guna magically fix itself on its own, you know that???...why don't u respond when you try something listed here partner..thats guna be the only way ur guna fix it urself.

Your Call Of Duty 2 CD's could be scratched of damaged. Something similar happened to my friend when some files from the CD couldn't be copied properly.

ChiBOY83: Age of Empires 3 (AOE 3) is very graphics intensive. The game was released quite recently and uses some of the newest technologies in the 3D business.

Orig. Poster: Those look like artifacts caused due to over-heating core chip or the memory modules. Your video card is on its last lifeline. I would advise doing exactly what so many of us have suggested in the above posts.
