I haven't seen a single balled mice on all my school's computers.. but I think they do have a healty budget just by looking at the hardware they have

i stole an entire mouse once! 10 years ago.

now i buy $70 mice with freaking lazers on their head.....

at my high school it's so bad that before we leave the computer lab we have to flip our mice over and have the teacher check it one by one

Some people cut corners on the wrong items. They probably re-used the current mice instead of purchasing them with the new systems.

hah! thats pretty funny. they could save effort by getting cheap optical mice.

My school has a TON of HP workstations, they run Maya, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, 3DSMax, ect. But we have to use ball mice, wtf is up with that, you have $7000 worth of software on a computer but you only have ball mice?
