Sorry to hear that. What are the odds of that happening? Look at that crater in the pavement. :shocked:

colorado storms can spring up in just a few minutes.

Definately... the storm last night was pretty mild i thought, but i could hear some nasty lightning down the ways
 
Was he killed by the lightning or the crash?

Would/could lightning make a crater like that AFTER passing thru a person?

Probably the crash. Usually when people die of electrocution, it's because their heart stops. But in this case, he crashed into a divider before he could die from lack of blood.

It probably knocked him out instantly and he never knew what hit him.
 
I heard the story before this post, and I just can't believe the odds that this happened AND someone on a forum I use knew the person!

Electricity is funny stuff...one guy can get hit by lightning multiple times and survive, another can hit a wire in his house and die. And a bunch of people standing in a line making contact can get shocked, and it will kill the last guy in line without harming the others...
