Mind your own business, nobody likes a snitch.

I would agree why make trouble for yourself its not effecting you.

I wouldn't want somebody who is that addicted to porn -- that he can't go through his workday without it -- working in any field having anything to do with kids.

Just because he is looking at porn does not mean he will show it to them or sexually abuse them.

Likely not, but I'm gonna play the odds when it comes to children's safety.

Maybe this guy surfing porn at work is creating more of a load for the OP. Don't worry about it, the OP is just asking for advice.......

Before you do anything, you should talk to whoever at your company does the Hiring and Firing. If you don't have an HR department, you must have someone who is the highest up person that makes the decision. Let him/her know what youv'e seen and ask permission to try to get evidence.

They may have other things they want to do. No sense getting yuorself in trouble when you're trying to get someone else in trouble.

I hope that next week, we see someone start a thread, "I'm pretty sure a coworker installed a snooping program on my computer. How can I find it?"

have none of you worked in an office before?

yes, and this is why I refuse to work in the corperate world ever again. Too many people who want to snitch you out. Not because it's right, but mostly because they can get some brown nose points.

I finish my work eairly, I have no work to do, they don't let me leave eairly, I'm going to look at n0rp or play some silly Flash game. The code of the office should resemble the code of the street. Snitching is the lowest thing you can do. :)

Looking at porn on a work computer is just stupid and I don't care what your excuse is. There is no better way to compromise a network. I'd turn you in in a second if I worked with you.

Yes, these kids come use the computers sometimes..

They are kids man, they don't need to be subjected to graphic images. Let them stay innocent for as long as they can.

If YOU can't find the stuff, how are the disabled kids going to do it?

that's ignorant to say without knowing the facts, what if the n0rp sites in question are ones he pays to access. Not all n0rp sites are home to mega viruses & spyware. Playboy.com is in no way going to compromise any network, sorry

Ok, here's the situation. My co-worker is looking at some naughty stuff at work and i don't have the physical proof to confront him.

Why do you care?

did you even read the thread?

Some (most) of the responses in this thread are beyond stupid, ignorant and just plain dumb. If half of you people bothered to read the thread or knew of life outside your homeroom/frathouse, you'd realize you simply CAN NOT do things like this at work.

OP has stated he works with children, and many of you still respond with comments saying "so what?"

Well here's an idea. 1 kid sees some of the stuff thats being looked at, no matter HOW he sees it, lets just say he does. Parent(s) get word of this going on at the school. Raise holy hell, school is shut down, OP loses job, kids lose school, etc etc.

All because 1 idiot at work couldn't google up Paris Hiltion on his home PC. He HAD to do it at work?

Step into reality people.

QFT.

The ignorance in some of these posts is astounding.

glad to see there were some intelligent responses in this thread.
Sadly the idiots still outweigh the intelligent.

I have a couple of co-workers that havel ooked at pornography at work. I'm not going to say anything because they are actually good workers. I don't think they do it all the time, but it's not really any of my business and since i actually surf the net a lot while at work, i'm equally as guilty.

That's what you people are failing to see. If he was reporting the guy looking at it in his house, then ya, mind your own business. This is in the work place. What everyone does is everyone's business.

if it's your job, fine then we'll tell you how, but since it doesn't seem like you are, HTF is this any of your business? you can ask the sys Admin to monitor him but even then, it's not your business.
