The clip was funny. Biggie fries, $.99. Wendy's used to be awesome. It's still decent if you catch them on a good day.

And yes, get rid of the 1-Cent coin already.

I didn't think I would need to point this out in this crowd, but statistically, amounts rounded up will be equal to amounts rounded down over time. A $1.99 purchase is never $1.99 after tax anyway, in my locale it is $2.11, which would be rounded down to $2.10.

This has already been going forever for amounts less than a penny.

Mint mark is on the back of the merc dime.
There are no valuable mintages of the 1936.

It's worth 13-16x face value, so $1.60.
They have a $2-3 price tag on eBay or coin stores.

My grandmother gave me a big bag of these, some dating back into the 1800's though the oldest ones are in poor condition. I think they are worth more from their silver value than anything.
 
I was in the convenient store one day behind a kid trying to buy cigarettes with a handful of Mercury dimes but he didn't have enough money for a pack. I told him the dimes were worth way more than the cigarettes. He didn't care, just wanted his smokes. I bought him the cigarettes and kept the dimes....kids are STUPID!

Probabl stole them from grandpa's coin collection
 
Dafuq is a Mercury dime... It's not mercury according to Wikipedia -- not to mention it'd probably be liquid at room temperature.

It's the equivalent to your pre-1966 Canadian dimes... except it has a picture of Mercury instead of a beaver and hockey stick.

If there is a mint mark and it doesn't look like there was one, it's worn off.
