My cellphone LCD went bad but I didn't drop it at all

I have a samsun sd500, I was talking on the phone, and when I hung up, the screen's brightness turned up to 100% and contrast to 100%, all I see is white, and some black, a little bit of blue and red, it basicaly hurts my eyes to look at the screen, and I can barely tell what the text is. Sometimes it flickers.

Does anyone know what is wrong with it? I did not drop it or anything.

could it be water damage? my little sister sprayed water on me when I was using my phone, but that was this saturday, its monday now, could it really take this long? I just plugged it into the charger, and the contrast and brightness came back to normal, but the colors are still off, for example the blue has a tint of green, and the shadows are over exposed.

First step, unplug it and take the battery off. Phones are basically little computers now, and since the battery is always on they have no full powered off mode, taking the battery off is like a hard reset.

Put the battery back on and check it, usually that fixes the problem, if it doesn't then there's probably something wrong with the phone.

Underneath the battery (and sometimes on the back of the battery) there's usually a small dot, or a hole into the phone where there's a round spot that's red and white, with little symbols or X's on it. If it's blurred out, or half blurred, or all a reddish-whiteish color, then there's water in the phone, and likely something has corroded inside it. Yes, it can take a few days before water can fully damage a phone. And yes, the manufacturer's warranty does not cover water damage, as it's considered physical damage. If you have insurance through your carrier they'll cover it, otherwise you might have to buy a whole new phone, or in this case your sister will have to.

I tried the battery thing, still no go, the lcd images still look like crap, I can't find that small hole that you're talking about though. Also, if I never turn in the warranty card, will they still honor their warranty?
