my CD-ROM will not refresh !!!! HELP ME!!!!!

hey
my cd rom will not refresh whenever i take out a cd, unless i reboot the pc, so if i install a program that requires 2 or more cd;s it wont work because it does not recgonize the cd, which has changed.

help me please!!!

after you put the 2nd cd in, open an explorer window, highlight the cdrom, hit F5. what does it do?

I just struggled with the exact same problem for weeks.
I found the solution that worked for me here:

In my case it was the lowerfilters key
