Yep! The rings for plastic milk jugs he will carry it up to you and if you toss it he brings it back. He will do this for hours. And of course he plays with it while he is at it. :p

And his name is P.I.T.A.

That is pretty amusing - one of my pussies does the same thing with those little furry mice, but will always get too excited and drop it halfway back. She often will sit and "throw" those mice to herself - she picks them up in her mouth and whips her head backwards, and the mouse goes flying and she tries to catch it. She sometimes throws the mice on our bed early in the morning when she wants to play, hehe.

Mine also tosses them in the same manor as the mice but they always wind up in the Toilet! :Q

umm isn't that fetching as opposed to catching? or does he actually catch them mid-air? can he throw them? :)

my dog can fetch, though i've only got him trained on tennis balls. as far as his toys go, he'll grab em but then wants you to "come and get em" :)

Yes he can catch them in mid air! Then he will come running back with it and drop it then just sit there stairing at you till it is thrown again. He throws them around too but usually into the toilet.

Buy a set of waffle golf balls. Those are the hollow ones with lots of holes in them for practicing your golf swing. Our cat loves them because she can pick them up, throw them in the air and bat them on the way down.

The furry little mice are a favorite toy also though she like to bite the heads off and drops the mice in her water bowl. He doesn't seem to be a particularly bright cat sometimes.

Wadded up balls of aluminum foil and the milk carton rings also get played with a lot. He's only about a year old and will play with anything that moves.

what the hell, our cat that loves the mice puts them in her water bowl as well!! I wonder if it is some instinctual thing where they think they are drowning the dying animal or something?? That's the only explanation I can think of - here I thought it was just that one crazy cat, but it isn't so I guess.....

Maybe that is why my cat puts his milk jug ring into the toilet. We also find his toy mice in there too :p He seldom puts things into his water bowl. But he usually drinks out of the shower.

Could it be some sort of racoon type thing where they are trying to wash them off? It doesn't seem that likely since the little ah heck doesn't wash off the real mice he likes to deposit on the front porch. Maybe he is just trying to be a little pain like when he goes to sleep between my legs in the bed and I can't turn over until he moves.

Oh well, it's better the water dish than the toilet!

Carrot39, try keeping the lid down. ;)
