He loves laying on top of the styrofoam placed back inside the box. Sometimes he sleeps under the box flaps, sometimes above.

It's been months now he has been doing this.

My cat loves shoe boxes. When we had carpet we used to give her a ride by sliding the box across the living room. It was like an amusement park ride for her. Sometimes we'd go too fast on a curve and she'd fall out then get back in for more. She enjoyed when we made it crash in the couch too. Crazy cat.
 
My cat loves the top of my subwoofer under my computer desk. It's warm I guess, and she will even lay there through a Front 242 song.
