My cat just ate some rose petals...

I spread some rose petals and some flowers from one of the trees outside (pretty pink flowers) all over the house as part of a "thing".

Kitty ate a few and just threw up a big portion including his food in the living room.

Is this a vetable offense? Or should I just make sure he doesn't eat anymore?

Call the vet? Damn, kid.

Why the hell would he do that, you know the rules, post on atot first and ask what to do in ANY situation.

You know, I think next time I need an answer to a possibly important question, I'm going to create a topic to see whether I should create a topic to ask my question or not.

I dunno...you better create a thread asking if that is a good idea or not.

You should have created a thread asking if you should have responded to his response.

Let's not get crazy here. I'll let someone else create that thread.

You should call a vet and ask.

I've not had a cat who became ill from rose petals.

So it ate them and straight up died? Good to know it didn't suffer through a long illness.

cats eat plants/grass all the time when their stomach is not feeling right because it will force them to vomit.

And in this case give it a flower fresh breath

why look potentially stupid to the vet when you can do it on the internet in front of far more, providing entertainment along the way?

Rose petals are a gateway drug. Next thing you know the cat will move on to the hard stuff. Then bam....you're checking it into Betty Ford where it will share a room with Tara Reid and her god awful boob job.

You've got me there. I hereby retract my post.

Sorry about the cat, but there's something quite enjoyable about thinking of a cat eating rose petals. Cute and funny and sweet. Awwwww.
