My cat is trying to knock me over!

My 12yr old kitty has started doing something new.

She gets up behind me and puts her head in the crook of my leg behind the knee and pushes, hard. I was lying on the floor and she put her head under my chin and pushed for over 5mins. Funny stuff.

Is this common behavior? I have 2 and neither one has done this before.

Nothing is common behavior for a cat!

I suspect they secretly wish us dead every day (Except at feeding time).

Even then they're plotting our demise as they munch. But I  them anyways!

I've had lots of cats do that, but I've also read that it's a way of marking you.

" Bunting. Your cat may rub or push his face against objects with his forehead, cheeks or chin. What your cat is doing is marking them with subtle biological scents. Some say that a cat?s rubbing with the forehead or cheeks indicates affection, but rubbing with the chin is usually reserved for territorial marking."

lol Yep, I knew that. I'm sensitive enough to smells that I could actually tell when I'd been marked. I miss my kitty. 🙁

She's rubbed her head/head butted like all cats, but never just stood there and pushed for an extended period of time.

Anyways, here's her pic:
Kitty

And as you can see, Guitar Pick guards don't always work.😀

You kitty looks ! I can see how you might think she wants to hurt you!

try rubbing the top of her head with the back of your fingers. most cats that I know love the attention to the top of their head. Whenever I use to see my cat, it comes up to me and stands on his hind legs and nudges the top of his head against my hand... must be because I always scratched the top of his head 😛

One of my cats does that as well, but he usually tries to but me in the head. I usually humor him by allowing him to do so.

My cat sorta looks like yours. Here is my other one. This one literally attacks my legs (in a playful way) when he wants me to feed him some wet food.

She is a cutie, that's for sure!😉

That's more of a "WTF are you bothering me with the flash?" look.😀
