Master? of cats?!?!? I hope that was just a poor choice of words, or I'm gonna have to worry about you.

Pregnancy = hormonal derangement. Only thing you can do is wait it out.

Well, master... Uhm... I'm like... Their master.... And all... They're my pets...

I got the catnip, what should I do with it? Rub it on the rug or something? Put it in her food? Rub it on her?

Well, I'm not alone in this (I have a... partner). I'm the one who figures out the genetics and stuff... This problem, it's one I've never had. All of my cats were cheerful, or they were ill when they weren't. But the vet says she isn't ill, she's very healthy.

QFT-Why isn't this cat spayed? Are you going to keep all the kittens? Every animal I've owned for the past 15 years has been fixed within months of me getting them. All household pets should be fixed so they cannot breed.

This cat isn't spayed because it's a $2000+ breeding cat. The kittens will be spayed/neutered, except the really good ones.

What's that 'spay' mean? Like, neutering? I won't, she's a breeding cat. She makes me money :D.

You breed cats and you don't know what spay means? Wow, I bet there are some show quality animals coming out of your house...

Well, I don't really mean the "depression" problem .. Nobody is really going to know how to cure an animals depression, at least not without perhaps extensive experience with said animals..

I just mean.. you don't know how to "administer" catnip? You don't know what "spay" means?

Geesh man.. Get a book! :p

Uhm, I'm Dutch, I just didn't know the American word. It's called differently in here, but it's just removing the testicles/womb, right? That's what you mean, right?

To my previous question: What should I do with the freshly aquired catnip?

The only way I'm used to use catnip is to spray it over a toy, and it has the desired effect (them playing with the toy). This time, it'll be used for a different purpose. The fact that I didn't know the word 'spay' was merely me not knowing your language well enough. I apologize about that.

Oh, Ok. I'll cut you some slack.... :D

Just put it on the floor, perhaps in a dish if you don't want it to get all over.. well, it will help anyway. ;)

Most cats respond to catnip, some don't however.. so don't be surprised if you get no reaction.

Edit: Oh, you've used catnip before... Spray? never seen that.

Anyway, yeah.. just put some on the ground. The kitty should dig in, so to speak.

I'm not sure how I feel about guys like you. I've bought animals from backyard breeders and gotten flea infested animals with no shots and no papers. My last cat was like that. She needed a lot of attention just to make her a decent pet. Most of you don't know what you're doing and only add to the problem of the millions of unwanted pets in this country.

Wait, I'm sure now.

catnip is usually sold as a dried leafy material. you just lay it on the floor and let the cat have at it. If it's any good the cat will be naturally attracted to it and it gets them high.

Crunch it with your fingers a little to help release the resins.. Maybe grind it into a scratching post... that's how I usually give it to our kitty, actually.

Wait, I'm sure now.

All our animals get shots, and all of them come with papers. I'm no backyard breeder, JulesMaximus (even though they have a 'residence' in our backyard). All of our kittens are properly domesticated before they go to their new, loving owners. People that buy our cats must be loving and caring owners (we check this, once beforehand, twice afterwards). I do know what I am doing, only I've never had this problem before. I can assure you, I don't do this for the money. It's kinda my second hobby, next to building computers.

In other news, I put the 'nip on a dish, and she's defending it, and sniffing it. She seems more 'alive' now. I think this will turn out for the good.

Thanks, guys.
