Put him on the Catkin's Diet? :D

OK, OK, that was bad.

Not all cats are tiny little things. My sister had a tomcat when we were growing up, he weighed 28-35 pounds in his peak days. He was a bit of a mutant, had twelve toes on each front paw, beat up dogs for fun, even got into a fight with a bobcat once.

Actually, he's quite active. He still zips around and is very playful, and when he comes downstairs to say hello, he runs and jumps on the bed, which is several feet off the ground. He's often outside chasing insects, etc. Seems to lead a fairly normal cat life to me...

As I remarked on bbzzdd:

"Use this cat to feed the starving nations of the world."

Something about the air/food/water.

In general, all of American's (be them people/cats/dogs/whatever) are considered overweight. And yet are amazingly healthy*

*given their weight of course.

Are you really that dense/stupid?

I feel more sorry for you than I do the cat. I am sure the cat thinks he's king of kings, and if he is 11 years old with a clean bill of health from the vet, that's good enough for me, and it should be good enough for you.

Besides, did it ever occour to you that cats can have different builds just like a human?

He was a farm cat, brought from Washington to Alaska when he was little. The extra toes allowed im to hook stuff with his paw then he would turn his paw and eat out of it like a hand. He could also open doors, either by banging his head against them until they opened, or getting at the doorknob with those big paws.

Looks a lot like my cat. I think mine is about 22 lbs. though, last we checked. I've been feeding him Science Diet light for a long time, no effect. I only feed them twice a day too, I don't just leave food out all the time like I did at first. I think it's mostly just genetics, like people.
