I used to have a bad-assed cat growing up in the country. If the vermin moved on our property or in the house, she either killed it or ran it off. She left carnage on our front steps to remind us that she was doing her job to keep the place vermin free.

Moles, rabbits, squrriels, birds, snakes, insects, lizards, mice. It made little difference to her. She killed it. She once left an entire family of mice bodies on our front steps once, some half eaten.

She was a very socialable cat though, loved people. She'd let anyone play with her and pet her. I'd come home from school sometimes and she'd be sitting on the steps next to some dead animal like: "Hi! I just gutted another piece of vermin that tried to invade my territory. How was your day? What to play?"

I miss that cat.

I had a cat just like that as well. It was a mini bobcat. Smaller then a normal cat, black and white with only a stub of a tail. Would just leave the heads and entrails of animals on our back deck.

ah, love cats... they would offer part of the dead animal as a tribute to the owner.

a funny joke would be to find a road kill that's bigger than the cat and leave it at a cat owner's door step.
