My cat has failed to live up to her obligations as Pet

I inherited a cat awhile back.

As per the standard Pet-Owner agreement, I provide the cat with:

-Food
-Shelter
-Water
-Medical care
-Petting and a lap upon which she may sit

Her obligations as Pet are to provide:

-Companionship
-Pleasantness

She has not fufilled either of these obligations; rather, she causes:

-Misery
-Annoyance
-Irritation
-Exasperation

Due predominantly to the following behaviors:

-Constant meowing in a high pitched and aurally unpleasant manner in the extreme
-Excessive shedding and a failure to properly self-groom, resulting in masses of cat hair around the house
-A constant and absolute unwillingness to move herself from my path regardless of my speed or urgency
- A general ill-manner and unmistakable rudeness in tone of the aforementioned chronic "meowing"
- A tendency to await me each morning outside the door of my room with a set of demands such as "going outside," "wanting a treat," "wanting to be petted," voiced in the aforementioned way, causing extreme unpleasantness in the early hour
- A habit of puking on the carpet
- Weight gain, which combined with her unwillingness to properly self-groom, results in much visual offense

Therefore, given that the breach of the generally understood agreement of mutual benefits that should exist between owner and pet, I hereby decide that I have the right to terminate this relationship with extreme prejudice and ship the cat elsewhere.

Yes/No?

Sounds like a typical "cat."

I call shens unless you have said cat's signature on the notarized agreement.

The contract was never valid in the first place. The mere act of getting a cat proves that you're insane and cannot enter into binding agreements.

Feed the mangy little sucker to the nearest hungry python.

Devoice the feline unit.
Get a maid
Kick the feline unit out of the way
Get rib of the carpet
Put the thing on a diet

Did you remember to have her genitals torn out? You can't expect the cat to behave until you mutilate it properly and get those silly ideas about species propagation out of its head.

Pet her every now and then stupid and why do you lock her out of your room? I let my cat sleep in our bed and she's really the perfect pet. She doesn't demand much of me and I don't demand much of her. The perfect relationship! It takes time to come to terms with a cat though. God, if you wanted a stupid animal why didn't you just get a dog?

people say 'this is normal cat' behavior.

It's neglected cat behavior.

My cats (3 of them and the 4 I have had before them) all were pleasant...knew 'no' and loved affection and being around.

i am in arizona now (from florida) and my wife says each night they group up on my side of the bed.

Most people assume cats are just outdoor animals so treat them that way...and just like a kid that has been brought up on the streets they have flaws socially.

lollerskates.

Our kitten does the whole morning miaow thing, but she's far too small to be allowed to sleep with us, she'd only get rolled on or stepped on during the night...

She seems to enjoy making the noise, we've learnt to sleep though it, and she's so adorably happy to see us when we do let her in, so everyone wins ;)

But seriously, you fail at being a cat owner. You either need to look at what you're doing wrong and fix it, or find the cat a new home. And I don't mean in a garbage compactor.

As for wfbberzerker, that pic is completely wrong, but I loled :p Also, it's misinformation: God didn't intend for cats to be well-mannered. That's reserved for dogs ;)

This is mainly a humor thread you dorks. The cat was 7 human years old when I got it, keeping it as a favor to a family member. I give her plenty of attention, but she is irreconcilable. She's part siamese and frankly a miserable bitch of an animal. Giving her more attention only teaches her that meowing incessantly works. I am quite correct in my OP indictment. If I do send her off it will simply be back to my sister once she moves into a place that allows animals

When you call to a dog, he comes enthusiastically. When you call for your cat, it will take a message and get back to you later.

dogs>cats.
