He's never been gone for more than one night... this isn't looking good. Unfortunately hes probably not just "lost" because we live out iin the country where there are racoon and coyotes out at night. I guess I'll give out flyers tomorrow around the block in case anyone has seen him.. I will miss my cat...

My beagles (dogs) managed to escape from their kennel, and were missing for almost three days, and had never left our farm. On the morning of the third day, I went outside to get in my car, and they were both sitting beside my car, wagging their tails.

Considering you live in teh country, there could be a number of explanations of where he is.

Back when i was still on teh farm, we often had cats disappear, in one case, for years.
Then out of nowhere, he showed up again, & there was much rejoicing!

If there are other farms/acreages nearby with cats, he may have decided to make a new home, or go visiting the countryside.

There are less happy things that could have happened too, which is why you should get a few cats, & start up some families
Then you'll have too many cats in no time...
