Holy crap, how has the thread gone this long without the obligatory ATOT cat haters coming in and listing various violent things that they would have done to the cat?

Why does your cat have feeding time? Cats aren't stupid like dogs, they stop eating when they're full. Or did you get a fatty?

False. Many cats will eat out of boredom and look like orson welles if left to free feed. Feeding times are one way to help control weight. And are necessary if you feed canned food.

So is the laptop fixed yet? Does yoru company have Dell's Complete Care warranty coverage?

I see stuff like that all the time. Shattered screens after people arrive at our building from the airport. Someone dropped their laptop in a lake once. 2 Weeks ago was liquid in the laptop week... coke on the keyboard, water dumped on one, and someone dropped their Treo in a glass of water.

We just order new parts and replace them and it only takes a day normally.

Next time shut the lid (turn of the standby crap) and let it chug away closed.

It happened at 5am? I don't recall, I yelled at him, looked at my screen thought it look funny but didn't notice until I actually got up much later.

Good as new, at least the screen is. out of warranty, but It is fixed anyway by Compucom, our company's current hardware vendor. They are now stuck with fixing 1000's of our company's Dell Optiplex 270 common bad resistors on the motherboard problem. Dell 280 have doesn't have that issue.

People requested pics, so since I"m getting off my ass to do extra grunt work to take a pic for the "re-enactment", I might as well embellish. Next time, I'll have to figure out how to get my young white wife on the nightstand.

Not to mention his Lexus keys...and nice wristwatch. I have a feeling he could go out and buy a new laptop pretty easily. You'll get none of my pity.

I think it's cool that you have like $500 worth of play money on your nightstand.

You have to leave your laptop open and sitting like that to prevent overheating? This proves EVERY complaint I've ever had about Dell's engineering.

No, he didn't. We use D600s here at work and they're completely fine. He probably just forgot to close the lid :D
