My Case Power Supply/Cooling And Other Questions

I plan on overclocking an AMD 3200+ on a chainteck nforce4 board to get it around the speed of the FX-55 and I have this case:

I am just curious to if the power supply in it is good or should I invest into a new one as others have prescribed in another thread. Also the cooling, what would it be good up to for oc'ing. I know if I'm doing a heavy overclock, i'll need to invest in cooling but just curious if anyone knows what I could oc with the stock fans on the case. The reason I ask here and show the case is because I don't think they knew exactly what was in this case. Also, this is the video card I plan on purchasing but I'm not sure if the price is good enough for this card so I will post it and ask what you guys think it should be around. And my last problem is memory. What DDR should I look for? Thanks in advance!

Wow, you asked quite a bit.

I can't really tell because the pics aren't angled correctly, but I assume that there are two 80mm fans in the front for air intake (or one 120mm) and the one on the side. So it seems there are three 80mm exhaust fans and three 80mm intake (or if it's 120mm then slightly more). That's pretty good circulation, it may be a bit loud though.

Although that PSU may do fine, even with overclocking...I am completely against using crappy PSU's. I don't think i've really heardo f Turbolink being a good or even decent PSU manufacturer. 18A on the 12V line is decent I guess, and the 420W max (or ~350W RMS?) is okay...but like I said I wouldn't go with this PSU if it were my main, important rig. There are many good PSU's out there. A couple good brands are OCZ, Enermax, Antec, Cooler Master, Fortran, and others. A good PSU is a very good investment.

If you want to do very heavy (but not extreme) overclocking, then you should consider water cooling. If you want to just do moderate to heavy overclocking, I've heard good results from Thermalright and Thermaltake (I think) cpu hsf's. I'm not sure though cause I went straight to water. If you do want to do water cooled, it will require probably around $300 for a nice setup...and some work.

That's a nice video card. Personally I was never interested in my computer video card doing anything other than gaming. The all-in-wonders and vivo's are not my specialty.

For the memory, I went with some very nice 2x512 Corsair pc3200LLPT (BH-5's) for overclocking. BH-5's however need power, more than which my mobo can provide. I haven't tried buying the OCZ DDR Booster yet, so I wouldn't be able to tell you about their performance. From what I here though, BH-5's can go 250mhz pretty easy. You can always go with pc4000 to get that 250mhz guaranteed. Although I think you give up quicker timings then...but if you did overclock pc3200, you would probably have to relax the timings to somewhere close if not more than the pc4000. I really like Corsair, but there are tons of good brands. I think it was Geil that was P4 friendly though. Geil advertises being tweaked for P4 or something like that, so I never considered them.

Sorry for the long reply 😕
