My case pictured, TT Armor

Sorry for bad IQ, but my camera is in Australia (Nikon D70) with my father and I had to borrow an awfull Genius...

I must say that I really like this case, easy to setup (pretty fast) and huge for good cooling, lowered my CPU temp in 4ºC.

Only con I see is that there is no black Armor made of aluminium, so I bought the steel version. My comp is now very heavy, around 23-24kg. Maybe a plus for Lan-partys if someone want to steal it LOL.

Its not so much that we dont like Tt, it is all the crap they pull:

They claim things like 21dba for their fans when they sound like jet engines taking off

They dont design their own cases, they feed off of others ideas

Cant really fault them but they look tacky

Their products are generally cheaper quality (HSF) and dont cool nearly as well as what you pay for.

However you have to admit they do give a good bang for your buck if you are looking for a PSU to tide you over or for backup or something. Also some of their modifications to others cases look nice (Tsunami).

At anyrate nice case and system :thumbsup:

LOL, you guys are funny. The case is just incredible, is completly toolless, the HD's near the PSU is a very good solution for airflow and the HD case is removable, you can modulate it as you want, as you can see lots of space in the case to hide cables (will work a little bit more on that in the future to make it even cleaner), the airflow is excellent, dust filters in intakes, pretty silent if you ask me. The thing is you have never had it and don't know what you are talking about, so I was expecting in this forum with loads of Thermalhate, but that's something I don't care about. For the ones who like it I just have to say it is worth the money.

Don't be so defensive McArra, as long as you're satisfied why does it matter what the complaint squad has to say? I like your case, BTW. :thumbsup:

Thanks LOL. I'm defensive since the purepower thread, and defensive with some guys (not all) that automaticly clasify TT as utter crap

Try not to let it get to you down, McArra. After all, it can be amusing to watch some of these guys kvetch about stuff they aren't being forced to buy. Speaking of your rig, how's that 680w treating you?

Pretty good, is a sweet PSU. Voltages are very stable, only change about 0.04V under load. It is silent, the fan doesn't even spin up under load, something that only happens with this case, another plus for the airflow in the case. The only difficulty it has given to me was when I had to install it in the armor because it is 2.5cm longer than usual and I had to quit the cases' firewire and USB ports, not difficult but maybe not as comfortable than other PSUs in that specific case. I would really recommend it to anyone, more over since it was only 118? to me, 70? less than in some stores... Very happy with my comp so far

EDIT: USB and firewire ports are installed now, only problem was while installing the PSU.

Thermaltake pushes so many products that maybe atleast 1 of them is good

Most people here speak from experience of the volcano series heatsinks which werent all that great, esp the Volcano 9. Others speak about ethics issues of how thermaltake borrows the design from other companies.

In the end, you are the consumer, and thus, you speak with your wallet. If you see something you like, and it fits your budget and use 100%, then you have nothing to be defensive about. Congrats on the setup.

And there we have it. A testimonial to the fact that not all TT products are the automatic suck. I had a feeling that TT was going to adapt the products up a bit. I'm glad I was right. What's the finish like on your case? I haven't had a steel case in some time.

I know, I had a Volcano 11 and it was crap, but TT has improved a lot since them and nowadays they have some very good products, as they do have some very bad. The thing is that you have to know to distinguis them. I have been very happy with: Silent boost for K7, TT butterfly 480W and now Purepower 680W and Armor case (only TT products I have had). The butterfly had weak 12V rail (18A) but when I bought it about 2 years ago it was a very nice PSU. Also all of this products are not noisy at all.

The finish is very good, everything fit's correctly and is well painted. There are no cutting edges also... PCI and AGP slot locks work perfect and have a quality feeling when you push them. Only bad thing as I said earlier is weight, but I'm a 1.92m guy so not a big problem for me either
