Not sure on which nForce 2 mobo I'm going with, and I'll either plug in a cheap 1700+ or spend the extra $$ for the Barton. Otherwise, here are my *quiet* case and cooling plans. Let me know if there are better/cheaper places to get this stuff or other recommendations on parts! Thanks!

Antec SLK3700AMB w/ Fortron FSP300-60PN
= $77.72 after shipping at Directron

Thermalright SK-7 $15.99
with Panaflo 80mm L1A $6.99
Artic Silver III 3.0g Syringe $4.99
Rounded 10" Single Device Floppy Cable $1.39
Rounded 24" Dual Device IDE Cables (2) $2.79 each
= $37.82 after tax at SVC

Two 120mm Panaflo L1A's will also be used for intake and exhaust in the case.

low flow cooling works better with the slk800. shows in comparisons. its the free airflow base that makes the difference.

I'd go with a ys-tech adjustable fan instead if the panaflo, and like 0roo0roo said, the slk 800. It's worth the extra money, I don't care what the reviews say.

Ok, maybe twice the money is worth the SLK-800. I wanna stay quiet and cool, so if what you say about low flow is true (got any review links?), then I better invest in the 800.

sodcha0s: this fan? And why this over the L1A?

Thanks much guys!

Thx!

So, $15 extra for 5 degrees cooler...hmmm, not sure that's worth it. I mean, what temps do processors handle?

And as for my original post, I'm ditching the rounded cables, and also going with Ceramique instead of AS3.
