my car got towed

i got my car back but without a fight. The manager was never at the lot so i had to talk with him on the phone. I asked him why he towed my car and he said he don't know since one of his guy did it.

I told him to ask his employee but the manager told me he was sleeping during the day time? wtf?

He asked his other employee to check for my tag and inspection and it's up to date. So he had no reason to tow my car. He then told me to call the apartment complex and they said i can park there.

Legally, is there anything i can do since i had to take a long lunch break to get my car back?

when i got there, the lady told me i can't take my car with me unless i paid. I was there for like 30 minutes trying to get my car back without paying
