No but its bound to BREAK DOWN, it being OLD and all, if anyone else doesnt see my logic just try to explain why im wrong.
And we all know full coverage insurance covers all mechanical "breakdowns," right?

Why would he even get full coverage on a car that was "old," and bound to "break down?" We're back to square one, lol. 😀

dude that sucks.. that is not the most common occurance. was the car running fine prior to this?

damn, that so sucks...

That sucks - but yes, surprisingly enough... your car catching on fire is just about the only "mechanical problem" that comprehensive insurance will usually cover.

Of course, it would have been totally stupid of you to have full coverage on such an old car. You easily would have paid more for the insurance than the car is worth.

I was looking around the other day (bored) and I was really surprised at how many decent cars were out there for under $1000. Yours may be fixible (but make sure you really fix EVERYTHING, lest it go up in flames again) but even if not, well, maybe it was just it's time. 🙂

Wow, poor Accord. Well it's about time to get a new one! a brand spanking new 2003 Honda Accord!! 😀
P.S. How many miles did you put on her. 😉

BTW, is that the main character from DigDug on the windshield? 😕

I want to know.

then read the top of the thread to find your answer.

I did. There's no mention of DigDug there. 😛 So bite me.

Who scribbled that character from Dig-Dug on the windshield?
Pyromidion put Pooka up there(just for the photo shoot)... glad you liked it!

really is too bad though. at least you can say you've driven a car into the ground.

lol, how many people do you see driving 1982 fords? most other cars would have turned belly up a while ago. 123k isn't too shabby for an early 80's car that isn't a volvo or a benz.

You'd have to be an idiot to have comprehensive on an '82 honda with 100K+ miles, replacing the car with another similar one would cost less than a year's insurance. Not to mention not everyone can afford full coverage with the way insurance prices have been sky rocketting lately.

123k? for a Honda? Thats nothing! I have an '87 prelude with 231,000 on her... still running strong! And with all due respect... any domestic car from 1982 was crap... 🙂 I'll stick with my '69 stang! 😀

My dad had a 85 Honda Accord Hatchback. He put 300,000 miles on it but then the timing belt went out and he fixed it. He sold it shortly after that to his brother for $500.
