For some odd reason firefox browser is running really slow. When i open up task manager and click on processes, firefox's memory usage would be over 300k and cpu is at almost 50.
When it does that my pc runs really slow.
I do i have the latest one or at least the latest one for my old pc. I have firefox 26..
It doesn't do this all the time but once in the while this happens for a few days.
Any ideas? I'm not running any other programs or anything. Just browsing the net and lookin up my emails and what not.

Yep, old/bad plugins will do this. Tell Firefox to restart with add-ons disabled.

I ditto both of the above: Canadian guy and Ketchup79.....would also recommend you get Pale Moon, test it for a bit and then uninstall FX. Bet you will thrilled and amazed by PM's reality.

All the former upsides of FX and none of the increasing downsides.

Along with malware scan, I would also run HiJack this.

Or, even better and easier, I like this freeware:

http://toolbarcleaner.com/

Very fast, will reveal and address any unwanted items in yr browsers and you can remove them using it.

I do have malwarebytes. I've done a full scan and no malware.
I'll try the other stuff later tonight and report back to u

Are you leaving firefox open with a bunch of tabs for days, or do you close it when you're done? I've caught the flash player plugin for firefox not killing its process properly numerous times and it's got a wicked memory leak. I've seen my firefox hit nearly 1 GB of ram utilization with just 3 tabs open because of it.

Yes I know. It just happen that way cause I was getting frustrated.
Still having the same issue. To open a file the double click is not working.
I have another mouse but don't have in the house I'm staying unfortunately. Its not wireless so maybe I won't have the same issue.
