She's running around drooling and pawing at her mouth.

Well, it's been overnight - and the cat is still alive.

Aside from a little bit of burning (sensation, not physical), the liquid inside is non-toxic. Just wash the cat's face out a bit with water, in case it got in her eyes.

i sure hope its non-toxic. can you call a local vet to see what could happen to the cat? did it swallow the whole stick? or what?

It's non toxic. You can drink it or coat your mouth with it for a cool but disgusting effect.

I too say definitely call the vet. They'd surely know a bit more than ATOT.

swallowing the whole stick would be dangerous, blockage wise. but the stuff inside isn't toxic... unless it's really old, i think a certain color(red?) used to be made with toxic stuff, but that was like 20 years ago.

Yeah, I sure hope it's non-toxic. Although the foaming at the mouth business and running around, sure doesn't look like it.

My brother informs me that they're not that bad - they just contain a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, acetonitrile and tri-choloracetic acid.

Having said that, the cat does appear to have recovered - at least partially.

Don't those have a glass vial inside that you break to start the chemical reaction?

Even if the fluid itself is non-toxic, the glass can't be good news...I'd take it to a vet anyway...

it cant possibly be "good" as in your header, unless it gives the cat super powers

The glass nor liquid will be a problem as it's surrounded in plastic.

As other people in the thread stated, depending on the size of the glow stick (3"+) I'd take it to the vet because there's no way the cat's going to pass that thing. But imagine the video taken of a glostick coming out a cats a**........

SHENS! How can a cat physically swallow a glow stick. Even if this did happen, only a moron wouldn't immediately go to the vet.
