My wife and I were looking for a movie to watch and my brother recommended "In the Name of the King: a Dungeon Siege Tale". Now he did say that while it wasn't the best movie in the world, it was entertaining.

Not knowing anything about it, I check out the cast. Looks pretty decent ... Jason Statham, Ron Perlman, John Rhys-Davies, Burt Reynolds, Ray Liotta, and several hot chicks. Besides, I'm a sucker for a good sword fight.

So my wife and I start watching and the first thing we noticed was that there wasn't any intro credits. Kind of odd.

So about 20 minutes into the movie, we figure out that either my brother is playing a trick on us or he's been sniffing glue. The movie pretty much sucks. The script is horrible. The acting is horrible. Ray Liotta is a joke. The FX are quite possibly the worst ever. It's like they took all the worst parts of LotR, Braveheart, 13th Warrior and scrambled them together.

We end up watching the whole movie, hoping that it will get better. Unfortunately, it never did. And I have to say, medievel ninjas? WTF?

It all made sense when I saw the closing credits.

Produced by Uwe Boll
Directed by Uwe Boll

We'd been Uwe Boll'd.

Now I will be plotting revenge.

I enjoyed the movie. Not expecting too much, but I liked the cheap action. The bad acting, well you just have to look around it i guess.
