My brother is in trouble for marijuana possesion

The DARE program worked wonders for my brother. He is against all use of drugs and everyone knows him as the anti-drug.

Last week, law enforcment came to his High School and randomly searched vehicles using drug dogs. A dog found a piece of marijuana on the floorboard of the passenger side of his truck.

The size of said piece is about 1/4 the size of the butt of a pen.

My brother knows now that one of his friends smokes it. And that is most likely where it came from.

But the school is placing him in a juvinille disciplinary program for 30 days.

My brother has a nearly perfect record at school. He even went and got every drug test after they told him and passed each one. Blood, piss, hair...all of it.

Does this sound like fair punishment to you guys? What can he do?

He's being punished by no fault of his own, so he has pretty much earned some weed credit. I would tell him to smoke a blunt since he's already paid for it. 😉

That's whay they all say "That wasn't mine! It must have been from a friend!" or "I don't smoke! I'm just holding it for a friend."

Technically he is responsible because it's on his property - aka possession.

Your brother is a doper. This is for his own good.

Pretty soon he'll be performing home invasion robberies to fund his next fix.

they shouldn't be able to give him the business over something that you couldn't even get a lungfull from.

what a joke.

If he's under 18 he shouldn't worry about it. He's proved to everyone that he's innocent, and the record will be sealed when he's an adult.

He should offer up his friends name, and his friends dealers name in exchange for leniency and reward cash.

Get a lawyer? 30 days is an awful lot to take for someone that's innocent. What exactly is involved in the juvenile disciplinary program btw?

Physical activities much like boot camp, copying from the dictionary, cleanng along the side of the roads in orange jumpsuits. Stuff like that.

lulz

What would happen if you step on some gum or something stickier that makes the bottom of your shoe sticky. Then proceed to step on a piece of a joint. Or what if it just gets lodged between some of the tread of your shoe? Then you get in your car, through the act of engaging the clutch, brake or gas pedal that piece is now in your car. Or it simply dislodged from the tread of your shoe into your car.

This whole thing is a joke if you ask me, glad I'm not in school any more. Fascist fvcks.

basically 30days out of school and in juvie hall?
that sounds just about as serious as it gets for a highschooler

i'd fight it to the end.

LOL @ all the fake e-lawyers in here.

If it was in your car, you are fucked.

Also, he is a stoner and does not want to dissapoint you.

He had pot, ON SCHOOL GROUNDS! They take that crap very seriously. Possession on or near a school carries MUCH stiffer penalties no matter if you're a student or not. For every drug related crime it goes like this:

Was it on or near a school?
If no - then proceed as normal
If Yes - then ream over with great vengeance.
