OK. I heard enough of the arm chair parents.

First, it's his daughter therefore his decision.

Second, although this may not be the approach that I would use, I would not call this a critical issue.

She knows why he is doing what he is doind, and is old enough to make her own decisions.

So, what he is doing, although not perfect, is not that bad.

I'm not so sure I was saying anything that isn't quite evident to most people who are able to objectively view a problem with parental decisions. And, as a point in fact, I do have a daughter-- even though I don't know how not having one would make matters worse.
