ElFenix - I talked to my bro and he says he has no maitenance. It's not raced and he babies that car :)

SHoddyCOmp - It's clean because he practicly cleans it every day! You should have seen him when a bunch of punk kids on the street were playing hockey and the ball hit the GN :Q

Depends on what you do with the car. They're fairly reliable cars, but once you turn up the boost...

well i don't really want to blow the car up and i assume its pretty damn quick on the stock boost.

i agree. gorgeous :) i have only ever seen one GN around here because they use so much salt on the roads anything older than 5-6 years rusts. one of our cars is only 2 years old and is already rusting around the wheel wells

toph99 - The great part about Vancouver is that it almost never snows here, so there is never much salt on the roads...

yeah, GN's are great for the quarter mile and going straight, but what happens when you have to turn? I wouldnt think handling is very good unless you put a good deal of $$$ into it.

I was driving in a nearby park (Stoney Creek) last weekend, and I was commenting to my girlfriend how these people had lined up to show off their cars........until I drove up and saw that they were 4 gorgeous Grand Nationals with the hood open. I just pulled up, and stopped......and stared/drooled. Luckily they were all eating in a pavilion a little away from the cars, too preoccupied to shoo me away. :)

And then I saw 2 Supra's in the last week. That doesn't happen around here. ever.

Speaking from experience..

They are VERY reliable, even with the boost at high levels that would kill most other turbo cars. I run 20+ lbs on 93 pump gas, running 13.8 quarter miles in nearly stock form. (That was @ 15PSI) I have beaten, abused, and thrashed mine, and it keeps coming back for more. And I get 24 MPG on the hwy.

I was waiting for the "Goes straight fine, but corners crappy" argument, which is false. They are very good road handlers in stock form (Independant A-arm w/huge stabilizer bars front and rear), and for a little more (poly bushings, springs, shocks) they can autocross quite well.

I've had mine for 5 years, and love it. Here's my site on it, I haven't updated it in 3 years, don't expect much. :D

Congrat's to your bro Mucman! It's definately a labor of love..

I can't wait for notfred to get smoked by an "old man" Buick.. :D

You don't have to, it's already happened. A guy from the bay area brought his up here to Sac Raceway....

It ran 12.1s and 12.0s all night.
