I've been using DSL for 2 years now since I moved into an apartment in Boulder, Colorado.
Rising housing costs have forced me to move outside Boulder to the city of Louisville.

I just found out that my new Louisville apartment is too far from the Qwest central office for DSL.

And I after calling up AT&T Broadband, I just learned that they haven't expanded AT&T@Home cable access to Louisville either.

I thought my days of broadband inability were over *sob*.

I actually assumed my new roommate (who found the place) would've checked all this. He's even more of a tech geek than I am. I should call him and give him the bad news.

I hear you, I'm moving in a couple of days and the new place has no AT&amp;T@Home!!!!

Might go the more expensive DSL route, but I don't know...
 
just found out why I can't get it...the nearest DSL equipped CO is 35000 feet away.
The local one won't be upgraded till October-November.

So thats roughly a month and a half with no broadband access except at school.

sh!tty.
 
hmm I can get Sprint Broadband Direct....but ugh its not lookin good on DSL reports.
Anyone in here have an opinion on Sprint BB?
 
That sucks.

One requirement for a new place is the availability of broadband connections.

heh, its the same for me. I've got multiple OC12s at work (I work parttime in ut austin while attending it 😀), and 56k at home. however, i'm upgrading to cable at the end of the month, cause i'm getting a raise then, so i guess it will be ok.
